Herschel Supply Co. and New Balance have teamed up again. Earlier this spring they collaborated on the New Balance 420 running model. For Fall 2013 they again used the 420 running sneaker and have recolored and redesigned it with premium materials and accents.
The Herschel x New Balance 420 incorporates fabrics and prints that Herschel is predominantly known for. The 420 comes in three new colorways, light grey, maroon and army green. The upper is predominantly made of a premium canvas and nylon ripstop, a material used in many Herschel Supply Co. bags, accenting the tongue, toe box and side quarter panels. A new accent is the lining around the New Balance logo on the side panels. The previous model fashioned a solid leather logo. The Fall 2013 design adds a reflective 3M accent. The heel panel consists of a premium-textured suede, while the heel tab is smooth premium leather. For added accents, there is a contrasting Herschel Supply Co. branded lace locks, flat tonal waxed laces and gold embroidery on the tongue logo tag. As in the previous Spring 2013 collection, this Fall 2013 collection is finished with Herschel Supply Co.’s signature paisley print lining the shoe.
