It’s official, 2018 is the year of the hybrid VaporMax models. Next to be revealed is the Nike Air VaporMax 95, a silhouette that combines elements from the Nike Air Vapormax and Nike Air Max 95. One of the more popular colorways that will be releasing is the OG “Neon” iteration that was originally debuted on the Air Max 95. It comes constructed in its classic gradient upper with mesh detailing, nylon eyestays atop a full-length VaporMax sole unit. Look for this to release on August 16th, 2018 for a price of $190 in-store at BOTH AWOL locations.
In 1988, one of the world’s most recognizable slogans was coined. It was an ode to fitness and courage that has since inspired athletes across the globe to run faster, jump higher, and push past their potential, no matter the obstacles in their path. This year, the tagline turns 30. To celebrate the anniversary, this special-edition Air Force 1 Premium from the Just Do It Collection features the tagline’s original font and graphics from its 1988 debut. The shoe also comes with a rubber keychain that draws inspiration from an iconic poster printed the same year. You can find both pairs available now at both of our AWOL locations.
A fan favorite, the Nike Air Max Penny 1, is scheduled to make a return. The last time we saw the Nike Air Max Penny 1 was in 2014 with the red/white makeup, but now it looks like we’re going to be seeing more of Penny Hardaway’s first official signature shoe by the end of summer. This "USA" themed colorway uses a mixture of leather and nubuck on the uppers while the typical gel Swoosh logo is replaced with metallic branding. While this new look on the Air Max Penny 1 is nice, we’re also hoping that Nike decides to release some OG colorways as well. They are set to release on June 30th, 2018 and will retail for $160. For Nike’s 30th Anniversary of their “Just Do It” campaign that debuted in 1988, they’ll be releasing an upcoming Nike Just Do It Collection. This Nike Air Max 1 is a women's exclusive pair and it features an Orange leather upper with White and Black detailing. Highlighting the release are “Just Do It” tags seen throughout the entire shoe. Look for this special release shoe to be available on June 28th in-store at both AWOL locations.
The World Cup takes place from 14 June to 15 July 2018, in 12 stadiums located in 11 Russian cities. In honor of the special tournament, Nike has released a series of jerseys representing the participating countries so that fans all over can represent their respective teams.
