With another special collaboration, Awake NY teams up with Jordan Brand to commemorate the 35th Anniversary of the legendary Air Jordan 5. Reimagining Tinker Hatfield's 1990 design, this edition exhibits the AJ 5 through the lens of a brand deeply connected to New York’s rich cultural landscape throughout all the boroughs. The jagged midsole, bump-out collar and clear vented panels fuse with a premium black leather upper. Racer Blue accents lend a pop of energy to the iconic design.
Doubling down on the Jordan x Awake NY partnership, a co-branded racer blue logo pops against the metallic silver tongue, and a matching logo reveals through the translucent outsole. Awake NY's signature 'A' logo is built into the vented side panels, and the right shoe swaps out the traditional "23" for 'NY' on the outer heel, while the left shoe keeps it original. Visible Nike Air cushioning pairs with classic Nike Air heel branding. Complete with clear lace locks and special packaging, this rendering takes all the iconic elements from the OG and puts a New York spin on one of MJ's most beloved shoes to ever take flight.
